Gaza Health Ministry: 6,000 amputees need urgent and long-term rehabilitation

It has been announced that 6,000 Palestinians whose limbs were amputated in Gaza need long-term rehabilitation as soon as possible.

In a statement, the Ministry of Health in Gaza provided information about the situation of Palestinian patients and wounded in the region.

It was emphasized that 6,000 amputation cases registered with the Ministry of Health were in urgent need of long-term rehabilitation, 25 percent of which were children and 12.7 percent were women.

It was noted that the lack of medical facilities and supplies increased the suffering of Palestinians whose limbs were amputated.

"These numbers reflect the profound human suffering experienced by thousands of injured people and their families, and highlight the urgent need for rehabilitation and psychosocial support services, especially for children who face permanent disabilities at an early age," the statement said.
